Fendi chose the Eternal City, its own city, to celebrate 90 successful years with an amazing runway show that took place on July 7 in front of the Trevi Fountain, whose restoration was financed by the Roman house some time ago.

The FW2016-17 Resort collection presented by Balenciaga in Paris was designed by its internal creative team, as underlined by the house, waiting for the new head designer Demna Gvasalia. Yet some elements evoke the iconoclastic style of Vetements, like the floral dresses, the oversized sweatshirts, the logoed stoles, the silver over-the-knee boots.

It really looks like Fendi has been hunting for new inspirations in our childhood, inhabited by stuffed toys but also by cute little monsters.

After almost a year and a half the Trevi Fountain, one of Rome’s symbolic monuments, much loved and always crowded by tourists, and made popular by the film La Dolce Vita, is finally back to its original splendor, thanks to the fundamental support of the Fendi fashion house that financed the fountain’s refurbishment in the name of its strong bond with Rome, its hometown, inspiration and muse.
